About us

Golden Software was founded in 1994 by a group of students from the Belarusian State University. The objective of this company was to create high quality, state-of-the-art software for economics and financial applications. The first product of Golden Software was a software package for accountants known as Angelika, which, by the way, was the first Windows-native program on the Belarusian software market. That project was extremely successful which predetermined further growth and success of our company.

Step by step the whole family of software products for enterprise automation has developed on the basis of Angelika: Angelika-Accountant!, Angelika’s Secret, Angelika’s Finance, Angelika’s Salary, Angelika’s Menu, Angelika’s Leasing and so on.

Every software product of Angelika’s line had its own database, system of functions and variables, reports selection and so on. So, in fact, there were some special, stand-alone programs, whose integration was possible only right on exchange of accounting transactions and some most common references.

Starting from 2000 the company set about the development of a technological program codenamed Gedemin. The pilot variant of the platform was featured for the first time in the TIBO exhibition in 2004 and a year on the first version was released. Gedemin Platform includes an object oriented post-relational database, a rapid application development environment (RAD), an editor of display and printing forms, a set of application logic’s business classes.

So far, dozens of standard and special-purpose industry solutions were built up on the basis of Gedemin. Thousands of enterprises of the Republic of Belarus from small business to large industrial factories and plants have already become clients of the company.

In 2005 Golden Software was the first company within CIS and Baltic states to open source the platform, turning Gedemin into an Open Source project.

The company is an active participant of computer exhibitions in the republic. In 2000 Golden Software of Belarus, Ltd took part in the largest global IT- exhibition CeBIT which took place in Hannover, Germany.

Nowadays Golden Software is one of the largest players on the Belarusian market of software and information technologies. Our software products received diplomas and awards at many software exhibitions and contests. We continuously get positive feedback from our numerous clients. Recently we expanded our field of activities by adding new services:
